I always have the dangedest time taking pictures of our daughters' most favorite attraction at the Indianapolis Zoo: the dolphins. The lighting and my little camera just do not get along, and I usually run my battery down trying to find the perfect setting to take a performance picture, only to have them blurry with the actual action ;-P
This time my "Under the Sea" shots came out kind of nice. I think I am going to risk the wrath of Tall Guy and buy the Nikon 5000 I have been wanting for about a year and a half. He is right in saying the camera I have does an excellent job, but it is a point and shoot, and I really want to be able to do more. I try to tell him it is like owning different wrenches, tools in general, and even guns. They all have a purpose, and each one has its specialty. I've been saving up my Christmas/birthday money for a while now, so I just need to be brave and take the next step!
If you hear a big BOOM from up/down/over my way, you will now know why! ;-)
Here's my dolphin shot for Wordless Wednesday
That is an amazing picture...
ReplyDeleteawesome photo!
ReplyDeleteNice photo! Maybe you could sell a gun or two to get the camera. Would he notice? LOL
ReplyDeleteYep, those same dolphins were always a challenge for me too. :)
ReplyDeleteTell Tall Guy that you NEED the new camera. If he starts yelling, have him call me! I'll set him straight.
I can't wait to see your new camera pics. I'm learning so much from mine :)
Great picture, Lana.... The point and shoots do okay--but I didn't know how much better a camera could be until I bought my Canon Rebel... LOVE it....

Betsy
what a great photo! hope you get your camera...it is something i didn't think i needed/wanted, but i just read someone's blog where they got a new one, and their photos are like a million times better. maybe it really is worth it? and i love your tool analogy, i am sure tall guy gets it.
ReplyDeleteI love Dolphins! I'm not going to tell you this is great picture, because that will work against your agenda. ;o} I look forward to seeing the truly FABULOUS pictures your new camera will take.
