Wordless Wednesday: Summer Fun

Gotta dash off to a fair board meeting, but wanted to post these things that are making me smile this week:

My landscaping is thriving and growing.

The girls and I finally started working on our ten Gooseberry Patch recipes.  Stay tuned for some chocolate heaven!

These adorable table decorations are something I whipped up for a Farm Bureau gathering at our house last week.  Stay tuned for a "How To Decorate Under $2" post!

Here are a couple of cute pics from the Farm Bureau gathering.  This gentleman and little lady belong to Lauren from Four Ransoms (soon to be FIVE!)

Lauren is right in the middle of the wagon in the grey shirt.  Everyone is off to see the farm from a wagon's view after the meeting!

Our girls in front of the wheat.  Check out my header to see hoe they have grown (even if their hair is shorter!) from two years ago!

These crazy kittens!  What fun they are and what lessons they are teaching the girls about chores and their responsibility to care for animals.

On the 4th, we cut/harvested our wheat, and yesterday Tall Guy and some great young men from around the area baled 1000 bales of straw.  Whew!  I was the water/gator girl.  I'll tell you more about that later too!

Ok..... back to supper and meeting mode.  As you can see, though, I have lots to blog about as soon as life lets me sit still enough to get it all down on paper...er...cyber space!

Be safe out there!

I'm linking up to Pinke's Post .  Head on over to her place to see some awesome pictures from around our fair country!

  1. I'm curious as to what fair you are talking about!! I used to judge 4H collections for Lake County and food for Porter, Newton and one other county that I can't remember. It was fun. Your girls are so cute.

    Best,
