Mending Fences and Looking Back on this Day in Our Lives

Every now and then, it is fun to look back and see what we were doing a year ago or so.  Last year, Tall Guy and Grandpa were using their noggins to mend fences without too much stress on their backs.  That's the way we like to do things around here, easy on the backs!

The reason we try to take it easy on backs is because two years ago today I was standing in this....

Keeping an ever watchful eye on her......

while I fed them......

morning and night while Tall Guy sat not-so-patiently inside recovering from his third back surgery.

This is how I cleaned my boots.

She made it fun because she always wanted to play.

Three years ago today, BIG changes were going on around here with the coming of the windmills.  It all started with the access roads.

Oh the joys of digital pictures and being able to keep better track of our lives, at least from a looking back perspective.  Have a great Monday!

  1. Ah, I remember watching those go up. It was amazing to see them sprout like flowers ...and all the construction equipment on the roads!! Lovely look back, I agree digital photos are wonderful.

  2. I so enjoyed this photo essay, Lana! Hope those back surgery days will be seen only in the rear view mirror from now on. And I see we both use the same trick to clean our boots in the winter. lol

  3. Oh, I love this, Lana! I always love looking back and seeing where I was a year ago, a month ago, etc. Cameras and blogs are so wonderful for this reason.

(And WOW, that is a lot of mud!!!)

  4. Hi Lana, You are right.... NO MORE back surgeries in your family!!!!! Be careful!!!

It is interesting sometimes to go back and check what was going on in our lives a year or so ago... Some things are the same year after year--but many things are different...

Great post. Thanks!!! We are home from our 2nd trip is a month--and both of us have colds.. Yuk! Guess it will be REST for this upcoming week for both of us.

  5. Lots of good pictures but really like the action shot of Sadie!
